100 years of Eisenwerk Würth – A company history with plenty of highs and lows, shaped by energetic and courageous people who have made this family company what it is today: an ironworks which convinces not only with volume but also with quality, experience and a spirit of innovation.

What began with the pioneering work of company founder Julius Würth in the elimination of the extraordinarily harmful quartz sand and the introduction of metallic blasting abrasives, we continue confidently today. We do not shy away from critical contemplation of the standard processes, technologies, materials and our own work, putting them to the test and optimising them where necessary. Only in this manner are we able to extract the best possible results for you, your customers, your employees and the environment. Because we’re bound by tradition.

The Julius Würth Foundation

Because perspectives are important.

35 years after the death of the company founder Julius Würth, Irene Würth, his daughter and the former managing director, founded the Julius Würth Foundation which, in April 1998, was legally approved by the Stuttgart regional council as a charitable foundation. Each year, the foundation distributes financial resources to support people in the local community (city of Bad Friedrichshall and the surrounding area) who are dependent on help from others as a result of their physical, mental or emotional state and to support people on low incomes. In this way, all kinds of appropriate projects have already been supported in a sustainable manner. However, outward social responsibility is not the only aim of the Julius Würth Foundation. In fact, the succession for Eisenwerk Würth GmbH was also settled through the establishment of the Julius Würth Foundation. The successor enters the foundation as the heir. The foundation thus internally provides the basis for the continued existence and continuity of Eisenwerk Würth GmbH and provides future prospects and predictability for all employees.
