Metal
As diverse as their application possibilities
Metallic blasting abrasives are available in a wide variety of designs, compositions and grain sizes. The applications for which they can be used are just as diverse: From fettling cast iron to derusting, descaling steel to shot peening or surface hardening blasting.
Glass
Gently effective
In the form of glass pearls, the area of application for this blasting abrasive stretches from the aviation industry through to surface finishing for stainless steel and NF metals. Used as edged glass particles, it is an economical blast cleaning abrasive, for example for cleaning in die casting and die plants.
Corundum
For a broad range of applications
Extracted from bauxite, this blasting abrasive is available in a wide range of purity levels. The possible applications are as varied as the purity levels. From use in exacting medical technology through matting of glass surfaces to roughening of metals, corundum is highly versatile.
Ceramic
Ideal for sensitive surfaces
Available as pearls, it is used for surface compaction or shot peening and in optical surface finishing. Its long service life makes it particularly suitable for this.
Plastic
Cleans without erosion
The applications for plastic blasting abrasives are as diverse as the range itself. They are used anywhere where gently cleaning of sensitive parts without surface erosion is required.
Other
Natural products as blasting abrasives
A variety of shell granulates are used for gentle cleaning of sensitive tools or for restoration work.
